Return Policy

Return Merchandise Authorization
All returns, exchanges, repairs, and warranty claims require a prior Return Merchandise Authorization, or RMA, issued by SpanGuard.
Products shipped to SpanGuard without a valid RMA number may be refused or returned to the sender at the customer’s expense.
To request an RMA, contact SpanGuard with the original invoice number, product details, reason for return, and proof of purchase.

RMA Approval and Return Instructions
If a return request is approved, SpanGuard will issue an RMA number and provide return instructions, including the correct shipping address and any packaging or inspection requirements. An RMA is valid for ninety (90) days from the date of issuance. Products must be received by SpanGuard within that period. Expired RMAs are void and may require a new return review.

Custom Items
Custom items, including lengths of cover, housing, conductor, or other made-to-order components, must be reviewed by SpanGuard before they can be accepted for return. If a custom item can be reused, it may be eligible for return and restocking. If the item cannot be reused, it may not be returned.

Condition of Returned Items
All returned items must be received and inspected by SpanGuard before any credit is issued. Returned items must be in original, unused, resalable, “as new” condition unless otherwise approved for warranty or defective product review. Items that are damaged, used, modified, incomplete, improperly packaged, or otherwise not in acceptable condition may be rejected and will not be accepted for credit. Returned products should be shipped in their original packaging where possible and should include all applicable accessories, parts, and documentation.

Return Shipping
Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs and risks unless SpanGuard expressly approves other arrangements in writing or provides a prepaid shipping label. Returned items must be packaged securely to prevent damage during shipment. SpanGuard is not responsible for damage caused by improper packaging or return shipping.

Restocking Charge
Approved returns accepted for restocking will be credited at the original purchase price, less a 10% restocking charge. Any applicable shipping charges, handling charges, restocking fees, or other deductions may be applied before credit is issued.

Credits & Outstanding Invoices
Issuance of an RMA does not cancel, reduce, credit, or otherwise affect any outstanding invoice. All invoices must be paid in full as originally issued unless otherwise agreed in writing by SpanGuard. No partial payments, offsets, deductions, or invoice adjustments may be taken in response to a pending return, RMA request, repair, exchange, or warranty claim. If a returned product is received within the valid RMA period, inspected, and approved, SpanGuard will issue the applicable credit to the customer’s account. Credits are not refundable in cash and may be applied only toward future purchases from SpanGuard unless otherwise approved in writing.

Warranty Claims & Unauthorized Parts
Warranty-related returns, repairs, or claims require prior RMA authorization and are subject to review and inspection by SpanGuard. The use of unauthorized parts or components on SpanGuard systems may void any applicable warranty. This includes, but is not limited to, collector shoes or collector assemblies manufactured by anyone other than SpanGuard. Issuance of an RMA does not guarantee warranty approval, credit, repair, or replacement. Final determination will be made after review and inspection.
